Rough Day Yesterday

I'm going to forgo the monthly report, well, because it ain't pretty. We've depleted almost every bit of savings we have, including our Christmas Fund in order to pay bills. The money coming in isn't coming fast enough, and to be honest, I'm not sure how we will get through the winter.

We had a rough one yesterday. DD2 lost the skin on one knee at school yesterday, and Cub has not been feeling well for several days in a row. DH has been having issues with his back for over a week, and me...well....

Remember that tooth that I just had a root canal done on?

Yeah, well, it broke.

While I was eating a soft bun. Pillsbury crescent roll, to be more precise.

I swear, I did not even see Murphy when he snuck into our lives this time. I think he may have gotten in when Cub was playing with the door one day.

P.S. The London Gail Club is meeting on Wednesday evening. I haven't had any response from anyone as to where it is being held. If you are reading this, and planning on attending, please let me know via email. Thanks!

  1. I'm sorry. I hope everything gets better.

  2. I've had a few of those "what the hell just happened to us" moments. I hope that you will get through this one quickly. You have made it though tough spots before and I'm sure you will get through this one. It just sucks when your in it.

  3. damn that Murphy!
it's good that you had the savings there to use, but yep, frustrating that it went all on bills, hope your week improves

  4. I'm sorry. :-( I hate months like that. Hope everyone is on the mend again soon.

  5. I'm sorry to hear about your rough day, I hope it gets better!!

  6. So sorry you've had one of those days. Here's hoping the new month brings better times. Hugs :)

  7. These are tough times. Hugs to you, April. I pray that the money situation resolves with a big fat surprise winfall of $$$ from somewhere! Hang in there and know you are truly doing the very best you can.

  8. Oh Eboo you can't catch a break lately! One of the worst experiences of my life was at a dentist (more of a quack than a dentist) who made a mess of a crown on a molar. Hope you don't have to go through too much more hell with your tooth - that REALLY SUCKS!!
Sometimes it seems that Murphy doesn't only sneak in the door but he settles down on the couch for an extended stay!! Feel free to kick him a good one for me!

  9. I am so sorry, I hope your week is getting better. And I agree with Jane give that murphy a good asskicking!

  10. Hope things are getting better. You have been through way too much to let this rough patch get you.

    Take care!

  11. I have been in Murphy-land so long, I don't even know what is like to NOT be there.

Even if you had to use Christmas money to get through....just think...at least you HAD it.
